It has been 2 weeks since my last blog. The week before Thanksgiving break, I got confirmation from someone that I had wanted as my mentor. I am ecstatic to say that I now have a mentor and that I am thrilled to be able to learn under him. I have already been able to ask many questions that have to do with my line of research and I cannot wait to find out more.
Over the break, I did not do as much research as I would have liked, but I am planning on finishing up my original work by the end of the week. The project is due next Friday and I hope to begin revising and finalizing by the 7th of December. My plan is to finish or wrap up all research by Friday, December 4th. Then, I will pull together a rough draft of the brochure on the following day. I already have an idea of the format as well as where I want each piece of information; therefore, it should take a maximum of 3 hours to complete. I will then plan for my research paper that same day. It will only be a planning and brainstorming day. If I am able to begin my first paragraph, that would be a great start to my paper. Usually, once I get my introductory paragraph done, the rest of the words flow. If not, I have scheduled time on Sunday, December 6, to finish the first draft of the paper. Next Monday, is a day that I have my ISM class and my goal is to have a draft ready to look over during class.
The weeks leading up to Winter Break are going to be very busy, but I know I can persevere and get through it.
